Salem Common Bandstand
25 Washington Square, Salem
North Shore Indivisible is holding a Candlelight Vigil for the U.S. Constitution on Constitution Day, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 7 - 8 pm on Salem Commons.
At a time when constitutional democracy is facing a greater threat than ever before in our history, we will gather and read key selections from the Constitution. Readings and LED votive candles will be provided; feel free to stand or bring chairs!
This a local Indivisible event!
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
October 19 to 25 is Unite Against Hate Week.
Not In Our Town is an online movement to stop hate, racism and bullying, and build safe, inclusive communities for all. Started by activists, it is an excellent opportunity for local groups to show support for their vulnerable neighbors and to stand against discrimination and the bullying tactics of ICE and the current presidency.
